Let It Snow at Four Seasons Westlake Village
We were thrilled to be invited back to experience the "Let it Snow" event for a second year in a row at The Four Seasons Westlake Village. Elodie packed her bag an entire week before we went and talked through what we would do in the exact order. I was a little nervous that they might have changed some things up but it was the same wonderful event!
It's amazing how a short 45 minute drive can feel so far away from home!
When I go to a hotel I love to check in and just relax in the room. The girls put on their mini robes and I got a five minute nap in before we headed down to the festivities below. Our hotel room was right above the Ice Skating Rink so Elodie mapped everything out before we got in the elevator.
The girls enjoyed a ride on the Holiday Express train and then beelined to visit Santa Claus (Elodie asked for a Ginny Weasley wand from Harry Potter and Francesca asked for a teddy bear - done!) It was the same Santa from the year before and I overheard Elodie telling a boy that it was the real Santa Claus. It's amazing that he actually remembered her and she remembered him!
Afterwards we went ice skating and had hot cocoa and made a s'more. We were able to sit by one of the fires in the bar area for a bit and then headed back to decorate some sugar cookies.
After the event, we made our way to have dinner at the fantastic Mercato Italiano and I bribed the girls to eat loads of broccoli with a promise of a swim in the amazing pool. BUT! In the rush out the door, I forgot our bathing suits at home. I thought this was going to get me in big trouble but they were happy to have a bubble bath in the big bathtub and then cuddle up together in their robes to watch The Secret Life of Pets.
The next morning we were up bright and early and made our way to the Character Breakfast Buffet. Francesca was so enamored with Elsa and Anna. They are little for such a short amount of time that I wanted to remember her look of surprise and happiness at meeting these princesses.
Thank you for having us Four Seasons Westlake Village! I totally remember the excitement of being at a hotel when I was little and I know that this is an experience that they will always remember.
