Kid Friendly Hikes in Sedona

Kid Friendly Hikes in Sedona

We just returned from a week long road trip from Los Angeles to Arizona. By far our favorite place was Sedona! I had never been before and it was so amazing that once you round a bend all the mountains suddenly turn to every shade of red you can imagine. The girls and I were oooh-ing and aaah-ing the whole time we were there. We took a few hikes to local swimming holes but the one that we loved the most landed us with a stunning view of Cathedral Rock. The girls and I had met a lovely couple along the way who were also from Los Angeles but traveling cross country in their cute van.

The girls were intrigued that the roof popped up and we got to even go in a ride in it with them! Such a fun adventure. Also as serendipity would have it, they are photographers and captured some moments of our special hike.

I'm not a seasoned hiker and I like to pack light so we grabbed a blanket, filled our water bottle and grabbed an apple and some CLIF Kid gluten free ZBar Protein bars for a small picnic at the end of our hike. We set our blanket down at the foot of a tree that the girls also had fun climbing. It's so great that they are at an age where I don't have to carry them anymore (well, almost!) #Partner

We went on a few hikes with the girls. Our favorites were this one which was the Cathedral Rock Overlook and the one to the swimming hole underneath Midgley Bridge. We also loved visiting the gorgeous Slide Rock Canyon State Park. Bring water shoes!

In Partnership with Clif Kids. This is the only bar that Elodie likes so it was a natural fit for us to work with them! All photos by Describe the Fauna
