memories of christmas

this holiday season was exactly what i needed. i spent very little time online and a load of time with my family. growing up, i always opened one present on christmas eve, a pair of pajamas, and i've carried on this tradition with my own little family. we also stuck to the tradition of

something you want,

something you need,

one little something, 

and something to read.

we were done with breakfast and opening presents by 9 am. after a bike ride to our local park we headed home to cook a christmas feast. we had our close friends over and were able to sit and eat and talk and eat and drink while all of our children played together. blissful. i hope your holidays were just as peaceful.
