summer memories
i didn't have a chance to write about my trip to seattle last month until now. in addition to all of the lovely time with my family, a highlight was meeting courtney from babyccino kids. we have been friends online for over two years and corresponded constantly during our pregnancies (our girls are two weeks apart.) stars aligned and we were in town at the same time (she lives in london with her husband and four children.) she is just as beautiful in real life as she is online. we were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather and went on some grand adventures with our children. ivy and elodie became fast friends and were sad to part. we are working on a little pen pal package for ivy at the moment which i will be sharing over on the babyccino blog soon! until next summer or a trip to london, i'll be holding these memories dear...
a dip in lake washington with the girls (elodie, francesca, ivy, and marlow!)
and then a few days later we met at
on fidalgo island. the boys came along too and made it an grand adventure!
looking back at these pictures makes me deeply happy. i can smell the damp earth and pine trees. feel the salty air on my skin. seeing the children run and laugh through the woods takes me to primitive childhood, a place i want to exist more often.
i feel so fortunate to have shared this with a friend and wonderful mother, especially a far flung one!
