Kanopy Kids
Every week we have a date at the library. The girls are always so excited to pick out new books and audiobooks for our car rides.
In so many ways, the library is such an important cornerstone of a community. A place to gather and learn new ideas, get lost in stories, and have access to resources that would cost so much money otherwise. I love that the girls want to be there as much as I do.
We've always checked out DVDs from the library but now there is a brand-new source of educational and entertaining children’s programming—free to watch!
Kanopy has partnered with public libraries to bring you Kanopy Kids, featuring hundreds of enriching videos available to stream.
In addition to providing parental controls, Kanopy has integrated Common Sense Media™ to provide developmentally appropriate age ratings to help you decide what to watch.
I've always used Common Sense Media so am excited to that I don't have to look up the rating and age recommendation on a separate page. I can tell at a glance whether the movie will work for both girls.
Thank you for democratizing content Kanopy Kids and for supporting the library system. Tonight is movie night and the girls have decided to watch Ernest & Celestine, one of their favorites.
It's becoming more and more frequent that the girls want to watch separate movies so I'm also happy that Kanopy Kids is available on Apple TV, Roku as well as on our iPad and laptop so that they can both watch different shows at once.
