new year's in the desert

it has become something of a tradition to spend new year's in palm springs. it feels so nice to be out of los angeles and in the quiet desert. we always take little hikes around tahquitz canyon and spend lots of time by the pool. i had a babysitter for grown dinners and time to sit by myself by a fire and think of all that i wanted to carry forward into the new year. i know what i need to work on and so i shall.
