cousins

in an unexpected turn of events, elodie had her cousins in town this weekend. in a moment of craziness i promised them i would take them to knott's berry farm. me. with four girls ages 4 months to 16 years old. i hadn't been to knott's since i was a little girl so didn't really know what to expect. thankfully we went on a perfectly overcast, off-season day and had a blast! there were no lines and even i was able to sneak in a few big rides while my eldest niece watched my two girls. i took elodie on her first roller coaster ride and i can't tell you how amazing it was to see her face -- a little terrified and wild with excitement. it was a glimpse into how big her life will become and all of the things she is going to experience. we all fell into bed and slept like little babies (even francesca.)
