it's official...we live in LA

my friend, a recent new york transplant, was recently telling me how she never would have dreamed of hanging out at a mall with her toddler. that is until she moved to los angeles and saw the beautiful americana at brand. they have a playground, trolley, kid's club and plenty of grassy areas to run around as well as a petting zoo and farmer's market on the weekends. what's not to love?

shortly after that conversation, i was pleasantly surprised with a call from art director cleo murnane to be a part of their 'tastemaker' campaign. basically they feature different LA residents every month (like oh, joy!) and highlight where they like to shop - they wanted a mama and baby for the may issue and we were happy to oblige!

what a blast we had - highlights for elodie included riding the trolley, carrying around a balloon 3 times her size, getting her finger nails painted and eating chips and guacamole. you couldn't ask for a more perfect shoot (no wardrobe changes - we love that!) especially since the fantastic photographer bonnie tsang shot it. such a bizarre thing to see our faces splashed all over LA's biggest magazine - thanks americana for letting us be a part of the fun!
