good news for me! we just booked a couple of nights with some dear friends at the itHouse out in joshua tree. this comes on the tail end of listening to a intriguing piece on npr on living 'off the grid.' i am fascinated by the idea of helping build and plan our own house while reducing our footprint. i'm a social creature so don't know if i could live anywhere too remote, but maybe on the weekends? probably more realistic...can't wait to share photos!
